Join a group of like-minded women on the beautiful Hasher Family Wines estate, in Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, South Africa, for an aromatic day retreat. We invite you to Fern House, the Hasher private family villa, for a intimate gathering, featuring yoga with Nina, wine-tasting, delicious food prepared by chef Tullishe Le Roux, and a Fijn Botanicals natural perfume-making workshop. This day retreat is a wonderful opportunity to experience the best of the famed wine-growing region, Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, and is a rare invitation for 12 women to the private residence of the owners of an award-wining winery. This is a day celebrating all things women, and is a collaboration between InRetreat, Hasher Family Wines, and Fijn Botanicals.

A private chef

The Women’s Day Retreat is a delight for all senses, including your tastebuds! Acclaimed female chef, Tullishe Le Roux will be preparing delicious, fresh and nourishing food for us. The day begins with a light breakfast of fruit, juices, coffee & tea and Hasher’s organic farm eggs made-to-order. Our lunch will be vegetarian and family style, with colourful, abundant regional ingredients. We end off the day celebration with freshly-baked cakes and coffee.

A botanical workshop

Fijn Botanicals crafts natural body, sensitive skin, and home products using plant-derived ingredients and the essence of fynbos essential oils. Their products are formulated and created by Liana Jansen in the farm workshop. Liana is a professional Landscape Architect and Anthropologist who specialises in Cultural Landscapes, and she will guide us on a fynbos-focused natural perfume-making exclusive workshop. The signature perfume you design will be yours to keep and take home with you.

A unique wine experience

Hasher Family Wines is a multi-award wining boutique vineyard in the cool-climate wine region of Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Owners Céline and Frederik are passionate about low-impact, organic farming and their dedication to conservation permeates every aspect of their operation, from vineyard stewardship to cellar practices. Hasher female winemaker, Natasha Williams, will lead us in an exclusive tasting of 3 cultivars, and Hasher wine will be served with our lunch.

Mindful yoga for every-body

In order to truly focus our senses and connect with the beautiful natural surroundings, we’ll start the day with an inclusive and accessible mindfulness yoga practice led by internationally-renowned yoga instructor and owner of InRetreat, Nina Butler. The hour-long practice will be restful and non-competitive, inviting all bodies and experience levels into a state of calm and poise.

Togetherness

This day retreat is a celebration of all things women! It is set on International Women’s Day, and all the collaborators are female. Spots are limited to 12 women seeking to uplift the spirits, enliven the senses, and be nourished in the companionship of other women. Let’s gather, relax, move, breathe, savour, laugh and celebrate together!

Arrival
Hasher Family Wines is located in Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, Hermanus, 7201, Western Cape, South Africa.
Our day retreat begins at 9am will be hosted at Fern House, on the Hasher estate. Follow signs to ‘Fern House’ when you arrive. There is safe off-street parking available.
Departure
We will bed farewell to our fellow retreaters, new and old friends by 4pm.
Should you require overnight accommodation nearby, we highly recommend the Auberge Burgundy on Harbour Road, Hermanus. The Auberge is a women-owned boutique hotel. We have a special rate available for the participants of the Women’s Day Retreat, so please let us know if you’d like to arrange overnight accommodation.
